There are two quick rules to troubleshooting a Tether device:
- A device should never display a red LED
- A device diagnostic should always end with a blue or green flash
To test your Tether device, hold the reset button down for at least 5 seconds. When you release this button it will perform a diagnostic run and will display a series of lights on the Tether logo.
If you get a blue or green flash at the end of the light sequence then your device is working! If you do not see any data in your mobile app or on the dashboard then there may be a network issue.
If you see a red LED light appear, this means the devices has encountered an error. Please get in touch with Tether and we will get a replacement sent out to you.
If you do NOT see a blue or green light flash at the end of the light sequences, then this could be one of a few things:
- The batteries may be too low to operate, or not property secured in the battery holder. Replace the batteries in the Tether device and perform the diagnostic again.
- If you have replaced the batteries and the Tether device is still not displaying a blue or green flash then please get in touch with Tether and we will get a replacement sent out to you.
